Allan’s interest in the environment began at a young age when he grew up in the country and learned to respect and take care of the environment. Allan spent three years as a missionary at a University in Mutare, Zimbabwe, training technicians on maintaining mechanical and electrical systems for optimal performance. He also initiated several solar thermal and solar electric projects. Allan graduated cum laude from Fairmont State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology. He spent the last 7 years helping AEP Ohio commercial and industrial customers by consulting with and verifying energy efficiency measures. He then joined Student Life Energy Management and Sustainability as Senior Energy Engineer in 2018. He enjoys spending time outdoors with family, hiking, camping, backpacking and soccer.
